They have really supported me

I am working for Teacher Active Leeds and my experience has been positive. The team are all friendly and helpful and I have no worries when I have to contact them.

At the moment I would not be able to work full time but Teacher Active have done their best to find me appropriate work and the times that suit me.

I won't be leaving any time soon. Thank you Teacher Active

Wanted to say Thank you

I have worked for Teacher Active for a few years now. My consultant Emily Jones is such a lovely person and her kindness and willingness to always go up and beyond for me always comes across.

I'm blessed to have her.

The rest of the team are always willing to listen to what you want and do not push you into teaching jobs you do not want.

The pay is also attractive with no hidden fee.

Lastly, I only work for Teacher Active and one other agency. Teacher Active and my consultant Emily Jones care for their teachers like no other agency

Aiden in Manchester doesnt return calls. They wont give you proper feed back.

Wong tell what the actual job is or what type if school it is. Not pro active in my opinion. Im unemployed and paid £61 for enhanced DBS Im so annoyed at having my money taken for nothing.

I dont believe they are advertising actual jobs. Its money for nothing in my opinion

Awful and deceptive

I also wish I read the reviews too. The company is extremely unprofessional, doesn’t inform you that work won’t be consistent.

Also I’ve been put on standby and I haven’t heard anything, I’m currently registering to other agencies. Please whatever you do don’t sign up to teacher active there are other agencies that will actually provide you with work.

Very very disappointing and unprofessional agency

I am registered with this agency for a long time but still not getting a single opportunity. Staff never contacted for any vacancy.

I have paid £48 for DBS.

No vacancy yet. Very disappointing.

Completely hopeless company

I wish I'd read the reviews before dealing with Teacher Active.

My dealings with this company were very unprofessional. I was called in for an interview and did all the paperwork and despite several emails and telephone calls no one responded.

In the end I called and had my application removed from their system.

Think twice before you deal with this company.

I believe Teacher Active Nottingham has gone down the hill this 2018-**** school year. They don’t send conformation of booking anymore, so you don’t know what is your pay rate. Also they don’t send a payslip either, just a message from Eden about a sum,no brake down of tax and income. They DON’T provide jobs as a teacher but just cover supervisors. And if you say no there’s a threat to remove you from their list.Bear in mind that most of those called agency consultants have low grade GCSEs and they know very little about education.Simply they are sales people.Avoid Dylan Jones!

Disgraceful Company. Aviod at all costs.

The sexist disgusting nature of the Senior Management is terrible. You can only progress in the company if you are sleeping with Rob. (its common knowledge around the company)

Otherwise you will be stuck in a below min wage, high pressured job. {{Redacted}} is a slimy 2 faced man who provides zero help to anyone.

What a bad experience of recruitment. You have 6 months to prove yourself or your fired. You are told to post fake adverts. Lie to teachers and overcharge Schools. No wonder schools are struggling with funding.

The company should be shut down. A serious disgrace. TeacherActive sell the company so well, however when you start you get warned by many others in the office that its not what it seems. Try and find 1 person that actually likes the company... Its hard

We’re nice at first, then the gloves came off..

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After being sent to different places, I eventually got a TA post in a primary school through Teacher Active. I loved working there, but they started slacking with the pay and I gave them notice I was leaving the agency.

I even had to pester them about refunding my DBS money as they stated you can get it back once you’ve worked certain amount of shifts. They even added a fee to it so I didn’t get the full amount back.

I changed agency as this one had better pay rates and continued working with the school, however Teacher Active tried everything in their power to block this opportunity. They called the head master, secretary and kept leaving me voicemails demanding I can’t do that (even though they agreed the first time). I found out the agent (Harpreet) had a girlfriend working at the school, who was informing him I was still there and she also started trying to get information from me, but I didn’t say a word and kept my distance as she didn’t know I was aware of her relationship.

The school said I should take a week off until it cooled down, but it didn’t and it was affecting me getting paid. Teacher active started sending invoice to the school that they owe them £3000 for taking me on and the school told them I was not permanent so that is not their responsibility. They were making it so difficult for me for the remainder of the school year and I weren’t even working with them anymore. I even told them to remove my name off the system, but two years later I am still receiving calls, emails and messages from them.

Avoid at all costs especially if Harpreet is your agent. Very unprofessional and rude.

I still haven't received some of my daily rates .

They did come across as fairly unprofessional from what I saw. Up their own backside and only interested in their agenda, and deeply threatened by anyone smarter than them.

Was with this agency for 3 weeks. Managed to get me in a school for a week after being pushed to travel over 50 minutes in which I declined.

Then I secured a long term post in a different with a different agency and they threw their toys out of the pram! Once told, I wasn't congratulated, and they even rang my long term school to ask if I actually got the job!!!!

They act like they're the nicest people in the world but they're in it for themselves, rude, arrogant and unprofessional!! AVIOD TEACHER ACTIVE!!!

I am a secondary science teacher with 17 years experience, was told references not received and couldn't appear to care less about my situation. Didn't bother to chase, initially sent for an interview for a HD job, but I when I had clearly specified a teaching position. Would avoid at all costs!

Awful, disgraceful pushy staff

Dylan Harris from Nottingham office is the most aggressive rude man I have ever spoken to. He does not listen and is childish and immature when dealing in a professional environment.

He is a gift to other agencies in Nottingham as they will clearly be chosen over Teacher Active. His persistence is offensive and his typical salesman approach does not help the recruitment agency reputation.

Utterly unprofessional set-up in the Bristol Office. Couldn't find a suitable role, for a Teacher with twenty years English teaching experience. Unorganised, and rude; please avoid.
